MASON CITY, IOWA – December 20, 2005 – LXI Enterprise Storage announced today that it has chosen Dan Latham as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Latham has a reputation of starting or turning around businesses and positioning them for growth in new markets. Previously he was appointed President, Enterprise Division for a Boca Roton, Florida, start-up, Seisint Inc., in late 2001. Mr. Latham's Division targeted the delivery of innovative technology to the Federal Government. Seisint was sold to LexisNexis in September 2004 for $775 million.

"LXI offers me fun and excitement for two reasons, says Latham.  The first is I believe LXI's products and services have hit the sweet spot of the targeted customers' needs.  Making customers happy and productive is why a company and its employees exist. The second reason is helping a proven company accelerate its growth into the emerging mid-range market for back-up, recovery, and regulatory compliance. That makes the shareholders very happy.  I think we have a win-win here."

Prior to Seisint/LexisNexis Mr. Latham was CEO of Imagelinks, Melbourne, FL, where he completed turnaround in less than a year, from five years of losses, to profitability and placed the company in the top 10 of the Fast 50 growth companies in Florida. He has handled large account sales for IBM; served 5 years as VP of Marketing and Service for Ameritech; and 4 years as Vice President of Worldwide Telecom Marketing for Digital Equipment Corporation (growing the business from $450 million to $1.2 billion in sales). He has held executive positions at Racal-Datacom, Sunrise, Florida, Frontier Communications International, Rochester, New York, and Coyote Network Systems, West Lake Village, Ca. Mr. Latham  holds a BS degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
